The Pan Celtic Race – in pictures

Sunday July 4th 2021, 10:00.

In torrential rain, on a campsite just outside Plymouth on Cornwall’s south coast, 130 riders assembled for the second edition of the Pan Celtic Race.

Riders would tackle one of two routes – the ‘full’ route (c.2000km) or the ‘shorter’ route (1370km), on a journey through Britain taking them via Land’s End, Glastonbury, Stonehenge, Bristol, St David’s, Snowdonia, Anglesey to the finish line in Llandudno.

Below is the story of this year’s race, in pictures by Albion photographer Rupert Hartley.
