Albion launches new Spring / Summer 2022 collection, ‘An English Desert’.
Albion, the UK cycling brand on a mission to help people stay outside for longer, have today released their new Spring/Summer 2022 range of performance cycling clothing.
The new collection includes a range of products designed for warm weather riding – all made using recycled performance fabrics, and available for men and women.
Legwear has been a key focus of development for the season, and today sees the launch of a new pair of Pocket Bib Shorts for Albion, along with improvements made to their best-selling ABR1 Bib Shorts.
Albion’s ABR1 Pocket Bib Shorts take the fit and comfort of their best selling ABR1 Bib Shorts and add load carrying capacity with a secure mesh pocket on each leg as well as an innovative rear pocket, accessible from both sides, for stashing additional clothing or an extra layer and which can be easily reached on the move.
Race tested and proven in some of the toughest warm weather riding conditions, the Albion ABR1 Pocket Bib Shorts are designed to help you stay outside for longer, however far you want to go.
Both pairs of bib shorts come with our ABR1 60 day guarantee, allowing customers to return the product for a refund or bib short exchange if they’re not happy.
About the new range:
Albion Spring/Summer 2021 includes the Albion short sleeve jersey, the Albion ABR1 bib shorts, ABR1 pocket bib shorts, the Albion ultralight jacket, and the Albion mesh base layer, all made in Italy using the latest recycled fabric technology. All adhere to the Global Recycled Standard, and the Bib Shorts are bluesign® Approved.
The Albion Short Sleeve Jersey is a lightweight cycling jersey made using a high stretch, breathable, moisture wicking fabric, and is designed for comfort and performance when riding in warm weather conditions. Features include a rear zippable pocket for valuables, a YKK reverse coil camlock zip, three storage pockets and a premium silicone rear waste gripper.
The jersey is available in five colourways – Mineral Blue, Fluro, Botanical Green, Stone Blue, and Black. All retail for £105.00.
The Albion ABR1 Bib Shorts are designed for extreme comfort on your longest, hardest days in the saddle. Utilising a recycled nylon main fabric and a recycled polyester mesh on the back to aid temperature regulation, wide leg grippers for comfort and stability, and with a pad designed for long distance riding by Elastic Interface (both men’s and women’s-specific versions), the ABR1 bib shorts are a proven performer as Albion’s best-selling product in the past 2 years. Features include a reduced panel, anatomical design with compression fit, Premium Elastic Interface ultra pad technology, flatlock seams and reflective tabs at the side and the rear.
Improvements for this season include a re-developed rear panel which has been designed to maximise the life-cycle of the product. This comes directly from assessing where a garment that can experience long-term strain after years of wear, exacerbated by elements such as high UV environments and salt, and ensuring those areas are manufactured in a way that considers the product performance in years to come.
The ABR1 Bib Shorts are available in two colourways – Black & Navy, and will retail for £135.00.
The Albion ABR1 Pocket Bib Shorts are new for 2022 and designed to help you stay outside for longer. The bib shorts share the same fit as the new ABR1 Bib Shorts above. Additional features include a rear pocket for stashing gloves or an extra layer, and mesh side pockets on the leg for your phone, food, accessories or for loading up when stopping mid-ride. The pockets allow for more carrying space, and give you the option of storing items on yourself when not wearing a jersey with pockets.
The Pocket Bib Shorts are available in Black, and will retail for £145.00.
The Albion Ultralight Jacket is a highly packable, lightweight, windproof layer. Weighing just 99 grams in size small, this jacket uses Clo’s Eco Vivo breathable recycled insulation concept in externally baffled engineered panels to deliver an optimal combination of breathability and warmth for its weight. Utilising a 100% recycled nylon ultralight ripstop face fabric with a C0 DWR coating to provide some shower resistance, the jacket is highly packable and comes with a stuff sack making it fit easily into a pocket or section of on-bike luggage.
The Albion Ultralight Jacket is available in Forest Green and will retail for £150.00.
The Albion Ultralight Windproof Gilet is a highly packable, lightweight, windproof and water resistant cycling gilet. Whether it’s a cold early start, a chilly mountain descent or just an additional layer for when you’re out all day, our windproof gilet is a versatile outer layer for a wide range of temperatures and conditions. Features include a YKK 2-way double zip, a zippable front stash pocket, stretchy mesh side panels for additional breathability and enhanced fit and reflective details at sides and rear.
The Albion Ultralight Windproof Gilet is available in two colourways – Black and Mist and will retail for £100.00.
The Albion mesh base layers are available in sleeveless and short sleeved versions, and are designed for effective core temperature regulation when riding in warm conditions. Breathable, stretchy, and soft on the skin, the mesh fabric wicks moisture away from the body, regulating temperature and keeping the wearer comfortable on long days in the saddle. Features include flatlock seams for high-comfort close to the skin fit and an anti-bacterial treatment applied to fabric.
The Albion mesh base layers are available in two colourways for men – White and Mineral Blue – and two colourways for women – White and Pale Yellow – and will retail for £45.00 (short sleeve) and £40.00 (sleeveless).
